Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Our client located in Las Vegas, Nevada area is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join their CVT team. The ideal provider is certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and has two (2) years of CCU experience dealing with recovering open heart patients as an NP. Job Responsibilities for the Cardiovascular Care Unit Nurse Practitioner

• Part of the multidisciplinary team, overseeing and managing acute patients and works closely with hospitalists, emergency physicians, subspecialists and support staff.
• Care will include performing history and physical examinations, developing a differential and working diagnosis, ordering laboratory and diagnostic studies and images, performing procedures within scope of practice, developing and ordering treatment plans; providing patient and family education, ordering of medications, and referring patients for specialty consultations as indicated.
• Incumbents in this class work independently under the general direction of a physician pursuant to state statute.

Requirements for the CVT NP

• Certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
• 2+ years of CCU experience recovering open heart patients as an NP
• Board-eligible Cardiac-Vascular Nurse Practitioner
• Valid Nevada license or eligible to obtain.
• DEA Certification
