Job Description:
Our client near Upper Manhattan is seeking an Evening Shift Laboratory Supervisor to join their Blood Bank department. Candidate must have New York State license in hand and extensive Blood Bank experience. Sign on Bonus available!
Responsibilities of the Laboratory Supervisor:
- Assures the delivery of quality department /clinical services in accordance with established hospital and regulatory/accreditation agency standards
- Responsible and accountable for the overall operations of the Blood Bank Department, including the development of department goals and objectives that are consistent with the hospital's mission.
- Supervision of personnel
- Preparing/monitoring and accountability of department budgets
- Attends Management/Leadership meetings as scheduled/required and communicates hospital policies
Requirement for the Laboratory Supervisor:
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required
- BS in Clinical Laboratory Science or related science with six years of Blood Bank hospital experience
- 4 years of Medical Technologist experience required to qualify in New York as a Lab Supervisor
- ASCP certification preferred
