Job Description:
Currently looking for a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist/Critical Care Pharmacist to work a desirable 8on, 6off Dayshift. Interested candidates should have their PharmD with a completion of an accredited PGY1 ASHP residency.
To live in the Midland, Texas area you will experience a semi-arid climate with warm summers and cool to mild winters. The geographical surroundings are flat lands with minimal trees. If you can handle the heat, you’ll love the youthful population as this area is home to multiple colleges/universities.
Responsibilities of the Critical Care/Clinical Pharmacy Specialist:
- Responsible for providing safe, effective, appropriate and cost-efficient medication therapy.
- Ensure that pharmacy staff and, when applicable, pharmacy students and residents, receive ongoing training and competency assessment, and that they participate in performance improvement activities related to clinical pharmacy services.
- Contribute to development and maintenance of an effective formulary based on safety, efficacy and cost.
- Work with physicians to develop/improve clinical treatment guidelines.
Requirements of the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist:
- PharmD
- Completion of an accredited PGY1 ASHP residency.
- PGY2 preferred.
- Some project time, emergency medicine, trauma, internal medicine, central coverage or transitions of care coverage.
