Coding Manager-RHIT/RHIA and CCS

RHIT or RHIA with CCS-Certified Coding Specialist.   5+ years of coding/auditing experience in the acute care setting-inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory surgery.   3+ years of supervisory/management experience.

Job Knowledge for the Coding Manager:

• RHIT or RHIA with CCS-Certified Coding Specialist.
• 5+ years of coding/auditing experience in the acute care setting-inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory surgery.  
• 3+ years of supervisory/management experience.  

Position Summary for the Coding Manager RHIT/RHIA & CCS:

• Responsible for managing the coordination of accurate and compliant inpatient and outpatient hospital coding of pertinent medical information to include MS-DRGs diagnoses and procedures performed with adherence to established coding guidelines of ICD-10, CPT, governmental and third-party payers; ensures accurate assignment of codes and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assists in determining strategic priorities and planning for unit operations.
• Participates in audit projects and ensures education is provided to the coding team based on the audit findings.
