Job Description:

A hospital near Spokane, Washington is seeking a Director of Nursing Services to report directly to the CEO.   This person would be responsible for directing, administering, and coordinating the activities of the hospital, while overseeing department budgets and providing direction for Acute Care, Pharmacy, O.B., Surgery, ED, and Outpatient Services.

Position summary for the Director of Nursing position:

• Directs and administers the activities of the hospital while reporting directly to the CEO.
• Oversees budget
• Responsible for cost controls
• Directs and supports quality and performance improvement initiatives.
• Maintains communication with governing boards, department heads, and medical staff.
• Recommends new facilities or new equipment.
• Provides direction for Acute Care, Pharmacy, O.B., Surgery, and Outpatient Services.

Requirements for the DON position:

• Current RN License
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Master's Degree in Hospital Administration preferred
