- Perform echocardiograms and vascular sonography procedures, consistently delivering accurate and precise diagnostic imaging results.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and support.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure its proper calibration and functionality for optimal imaging results.
- Provide compassionate patient care, create a comfortable and safe environment, and address any concerns or questions that patients may have.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring that all pertinent information is properly recorded and easily accessible to other healthcare providers.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in echo/vascular sonography techniques and equipment to provide the highest standard of care.
Skills Required for the Echo or Vascular Sonographer:
- 5+ years of experience as an Echo/Vascular Sonographer, with a strong focus on echocardiography and vascular sonography.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited cardiac sonography program. CCI or RDCS ARDMS registry accepted.
- Proficient in operating ultrasound equipment and various software systems used in echo/vascular sonography procedures.
- Quality studies combined with excellent patient care
- Ability to follow ICAEL protocol and guidelines for scheduling and echo protocols
- Stress echos approximately 1 per week
- GE equipment with GE PACS
- Echo-specific scanning bed
- Carotid Doppler/duplex
- Arterial lower extremity duplex
- AAA
- Lower extremity venous insufficiency ultrasounds
- Assist with venous endovascular laser ablation (EVLT), Venaseal, Varithena, and Ultrasound-guided Sclerotherapy
- Post-ablation/closure procedure follow-up scans
