Emergency Medicine NP/PA

Our client located in western Massachusetts near Pittsfield is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Emergency Medicine team. The client is offering comprehensive benefits, competitive compensation, and a flex schedule. The ideal provider has one year of experience in Emergency Medicine as an NP/PA, already Massachusetts licensed, and can start within 30 days.  

Job Responsibilities of the Emergency Medicine NP/PA:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, obtaining patient histories, and performing physical examinations.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostical tests such as laboratory tests, EKGs, imaging procedures, and other necessary tests.
• Developing, implementing, and adjusting individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the attending physician.
• Prescribing and administering medications, including intravenous therapies and blood products, as appropriate, and monitoring patient response to therapy.
• Participating in daily rounds with the hospitalist physician, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
• Documenting and maintaining accurate and complete medical records, including progress notes, patient data, and treatment plans as per hospital policy.

Minimum Job Requirements for the Emergency Medicine NP/PA Position:

• One year of experience as an NP/PA
  • ER/Urgent Care experience preferred
• Eligible to obtain or already Massachusetts licensed
• Ties to the area
