Job Description:
Our client in rural coastal Alaska is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team. This NP/PA will be responsible for the well childcare of the pediatric panel and immunization coordination. This location is full of activities for the adventurous including hiking, fishing salmon, boating, climbing, and skiing. Must have one or two years of experience working in direct patient care clinic.
Responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Functions as the primary case manager for patients in the Pediatric panel.
- Organizes and coordinates immunization efforts in the Bristol Bay Area and provides overall direction of the immunization program.
- Functions as a team member and works collaboratively with the Medical Staff, all care teams, the Dietician for MNT of the obese pediatric population, and the Health Education Department to provide comprehensive care education and school-based clinics
throughout the region.
Requirements of the Nurse Practitioner:
- Current or eligible to obtain Alaska license
- One year of experience working in direct patient care
- ACLS, BLS, PALS required
