Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologist to join their growing medical team. This client is expanding their vascular service line footprint to incorporate interventional radiology for inpatient and outpatient services. This position is supported by clinic and hospital nursing and support team member, robust IT infrastructure and optimal procedural suites to support services.

Responsibilities of the Interventional Radiologist:

  • Full gamut of interventional radiology procedures (no stroke or neuro IR)
  • Body CT/US
  • 20-25% of work encompasses reads and interpretations of images
  • Call 1:3/1:4 nights
  • Monday to Friday procedural days with ½ in clinic every other week

List of procedures for the Interventional Radiologist

  • CT guided biopsy, Central Line, Tunneled dialysis catheter, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Gastrostomy tube, Drainage, Tunneled catheter removal, PICC, Port, Lumbar Puncture, Thyroid biopsy, Declot, Nephrostomy, IVC filter insertion, IVC filter retrieval, Biliary drainage, Microwave ablation

Minimum Requirements for the Interventional Radiologist

  • Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology
  • Board Certification in Interventional Radiology by the American Board of Radiology
  • Minimum of three years of experience

  • Relocation/Moving Expenses - Depending on distance from Augusta - between $5,000 and $15,000 for expenses that qualify under IRS Publication 521

  • Sign on Bonus - Depending on experience / background and total comp package - $15,000 to $25,000
