Job Description:

Our rural Alaska-based client is seeking a Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator to join their team. This full-time, permanent placement telecommuting opportunity offers very competitive compensation, full benefits, and a great vacation plan.  LIS Coordinator will be expected to work on-site for projects on a quarterly basis for 1-3 weeks per quarter.

 

Responsibilities of the LIS Coordinator

  • Coordination, maintenance, and development of the LIS.
  • Performs Quality Assurance to resolve quality data issues
  • Interfacing the LIS with other Hospital Information Systems
  • Ensuring Lab data and LIS system meets CAP, CLIA, COLA, TJC standards

Requirements of the LIS Coordinator

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related biological science
  • ASCP or equivalent professional registry
  • Five years of previous experience as a Medical Technologist
  • Two years of previous laboratory information system experience
