Job Description:

Our client is seeking an Environmental Service Manager at a well-known Hospital in Vermont.   You will oversee 50 FTEs including EVS Tech and Linen Aide.   You will have three supervisors supporting you in this position. 10+ years of Environmental Services experience with 2+ years of leadership experience as well as previous healthcare facility experience is preferred.

 

Requirements of the Manager Environmental Services

  • 10+ years of Environmental Services experience  

  • 2+ years of leadership experience

  • Previous healthcare facility experience is preferred

  • Current CHESP certification or eligible

  • D.O.T. Hazardous Materials Certification or ability to obtain it in a specific timeframe.

Responsibilities of the Healthcare Environmental Services Manager:

  • Serves as the leader of the Environmental Services and Linen departments. These department are responsible for cleaning, disinfection, and general appearance of all facilities.

  • Provides strategic and operational oversight to ensure safe, efficient, cost effective, and high-quality services.

  • Develops, implements, and administers Policies and Procedures to meet local, governmental, and sanitary and safety regulations.

  • Oversees Performance Improvement activities by developing, establishing, analyzing, and responding to all

    quality control and performance improvement goals.

  • Will be responsible for recommending the department

    operating budget and maintaining operations within that budget.

  • Responsible for Environmental Services for off-site facilities as well as the main hospital
