Our client in the Boston area is seeking Medical Technologists-Chemistry to join their staff. The ideal candidate has two years of experience and is ASCP certified as a Medical Laboratory Technologist. Sign-on Bonus offered!!
Responsibilities of the Medical Laboratory Technologist-Chemistry:
- Performs routine and high complexity laboratory tests and procedures on blood and other body fluids, according to laboratory policies.
- Prepares samples and reagents for testing according to laboratory policies.
- Responsible for the accuracy, interpretation and reporting of all test results according to laboratory policies.
Requirements for the Medical Laboratory Technologist-Chemistry:
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related science.
- MT (ASCP) or BB(ASCP) or equivalent certification.
- Successful completion of the hospital’s Trustworthiness and Reliability assessment. Unescorted access to the Blood Bank Irradiators is a requirement of the position.
- Successful completion of the Medical Technologist II advancement process.
