Job Description:
Our client located in beautiful Central Vermont is seeking a full-time, licensed Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join their cancer care team. The comprehensive community cancer center provides care across multiple settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient, emergency, and telehealth, in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff to deliver patient- and family-centered care. Responsibilities of the Oncology NP or PA:
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM schedule
- No weeknight calls, with one weekend per month on-call coverage
- Provide medical history intake, patient assessment, and interpretation of findings
- Conduct pre-screening, annual assessments, and evaluations for co-occurring conditions
- Prepare and maintain medical records, develop reports, and respond to patient correspondence
- Maintain effective working relations with patients, staff, and the public
Requirements of the Oncology NP or PA:
- Master’s degree in Nursing or completion of an American Medical Association-approved Physician Assistant program
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an NP or PA in a specialty or cancer care setting
- Eligible for Vermont licensure
- Relevant unit-specific certifications (e.g., ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC)
- Endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification
