Job Description:

Our client located in Los Angeles, California is seeking a PBS Credit Balance Resolution Manager to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position that offers competitive pay and excellent benefits. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of Hospital Billing and Collection Management experience.

 

Responsibilities for the Credit Balance Resolution Manager position:

  • Reports to the Assistant Director of Collections

  • Timely Management of Insurance Overpayment Requests for Inpatient and Outpatient receivables for 3 Hospitals.

  • Timely and accurate handling and resolution of Insurance Credit balances

  • The handling of federal and contractual regulations for processing overpayments

  • Implementing ongoing process improvements

  • Managing and training a staff of approximately 8 collection representatives including clerical staff

  • Maintaining account escalations
  • Preparing a Medicare quarterly 838 report and managing the annual Medi-Cal Credit Balance audits and the weekly Insurance Liability Bulks.

Minimum Requirements for the PBS Credit Balance Resolution Manager position:

  • Minimum 3 years Hospital Billing and Collection Management experience
  • Experience in working in unionized environments preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Managed Care payer regulations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, CCS, Worker Comp and other government payer regulations
  • Deonstrated ability to interpret payer contracts proficiently
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office
