Job Description:

Are you a passionate PMHNP or Psych focused PA seeking a rewarding opportunity in OR? Look no further! Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to join their dynamic healthcare team. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals and families in need of behavioral health services. As a Psych NP or PA, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, providing comprehensive care to patients in an outpatient setting. Must be a board certified NP or PA, new graduates are welcome!

Highlights of the Psych NP/PA:

  • New graduates will be considered!
  • Monday - Friday - 8am - 5pm
  • Outpatient only schedule
  • Collaborate with a team of compassionate healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional behavioral health care.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer medication and monitor the effectiveness of treatment, adjusting as needed.
  • Offer counseling and therapy sessions to patients, employing evidence-based techniques and interventions.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding self-care, medication management, and coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with community resources to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  • Utilize electronic health records to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation.

Skills Required of the Psych NP/PA:

  • Valid NP or PA license in the state of Oregon with a specialization in behavioral health.
  • Board-certified and eligible for credentialing  
  • Experience in a primary care or behavioral health setting is highly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, medications, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish a strong rapport with patients and their families.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records and documenting patient care accurately.
  • Strong commitment to patient advocacy, holistic care, and continuous professional development.
