Psychiatric NP

Our client located in western Massachusetts near Pittsfield is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMNHP) to join their psychiatry team. The client is offering comprehensive benefits, competitive compensation, and a flex schedule. The ideal provider has one year of experience as a PMHNP, already Massachusetts licensed, and can start within 30 days. Client will consider new graduates with three to five years of experience as an RN in behavioral health.  

Job Responsibilities of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP):

• Provide psychiatric medication management to adult patients
• Conduct individual assessments of patients and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with other clinical staff, such as therapists and case managers, to provide comprehensive care to patients
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and clinical notes in the electronic medical record system
• Participate in clinical team meetings, case conferences, and other meetings as necessary
• Work collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure a positive work culture and team chemistry.

Minimum Job Requirements for the PMHNP

• One year of experience as a PMHNP
• New graduate with three to five years of behavioral health experience as an RN
• Eligible to obtain or already Massachusetts licensed
• Ties to the area
