Job Description:

A hospital district near Cody, WY is looking for a Quality and Risk Nurse Coordinator.   This individual will report to the CEO and be responsible for assisting the district with surveys, compliance, risk management projects, and quality care activities.   Salary, sign-on bonus, and benefits are being offered!   This area of Wyoming is not too far from Yellowstone National Park and some of the most beautiful sights in our country.

 

Required Experience for the Quality and Risk Nurse Coordinator:

  • Must be an RN.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a clinical setting, preferably critical access hospital, skilled nursing facility and/or clinic.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or healthcare or related field.

Essential Job Functions for the Quality and Risk Nurse Coordinator:

  • Create and implement a quality improvement program.
  • Work with senior leadership and other departments to establish a quality improvement program.
  • Maintains documents and records all quality activities to ensure compliance.
  • Collects internal/external incident reports and assists with the investigation of incidents.
  • Prepares the facility for state surveys and audits and provides corrective action reports to appropriate state entities.
  • Works with facility insurance company to identify, correct, and educate staff on risk areas.
  • Assists administration with responding timely to patient grievances.
  • Plans and conducts monthly, quarterly, and annual QA/PI meetings.
