Job Description:
Our client near Nashua, Montana is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to provide accurate, efficient, and patient-focused pharmaceutical services. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work Monday through Friday with daytime hours, comprehensive benefits, and competitive compensation.
In addition to retail responsibilities, this role includes cross-training for inpatient pharmacy on-call coverage, providing a well-rounded and rewarding professional experience.
Job Responsibilities for the Pharmacist:
Retail Pharmacy Duties:
- Provide efficient and accurate pharmaceutical distribution services to patients by interpreting physicians’ drug orders and dispensing appropriate medications.
- Monitor patient medical and pharmaceutical records to ensure safe and effective drug therapy, addressing drug interactions, adverse reactions, contraindications, and allergies.
- Oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications, including compounding when necessary.
- Supervise and train pharmacy technicians, sales clerks, student interns, and graduate interns to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Act as a certified immunizer to administer vaccines in compliance with regulations.
Inpatient Pharmacy Support:
- Participate in on-call rotations (approximately one week per month) to support inpatient pharmacy operations.
- Assist with inpatient medication orders and ensure adherence to best practices for drug therapy.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver safe and effective care to hospitalized patients.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education and Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
- Current and active Montana State Pharmacy License required.
- Certified immunizer with current BLS certification required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience in a retail or inpatient setting preferred.

- Competitive Hourly Compensation:
- Entry-level: $58/hour
- Mid-range: $64 - $67/hour
- Maximum: $73/hour
- Full-Time Position: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
