Responsibilities of the Compliance Officer

  • Plan, implement and manage Risk Management and loss prevention functions, survey preparation and the Corporate Compliance program.  

  • The Officer will delegate, plan and operationalize functions with officers, managers and coordinators for Safety and Compliance.

  • The Compliance Officer will oversee the hospital-wide patient complaint/grievance program. The Risk and Compliance Officer will ensure NVRH is compliant with all relevant regulatory standards and guidelines including but not limited to HRSA, CMS, DAIL and other applicable state and federal agencies.

Requirements of the Risk/Compliance Officer

  • CPHRM, ARM or CPPS is desired     
  • Extensive management, risk, patient safety and compliance experience. Qualified candidates will have
  • Two to three years’ experience in compliance/investigations in the healthcare industry with knowledge of HIPAA and HITECH, including breach notification protocol.
