Job Description:
A beautiful, river city in Georgia that is distanced an hour and a half from the Gulf of Mexico, is seeking an RN Critical Care Educator. This person would function as a leader in the unit and be responsible for the orientation of new employees as well as developing and consulting on educational programs. Job Summary for the RN Critical Care Educator
Functions as a member of the management and nursing team. Serves as a leader and role model. Responsible for unit based orientation for new employees. Provides educational programs and in-services to the employees, as well as consults, develops, plans, implements, and evaluates programs provided. Schedules hours divided between clinical and educational duties.
Job Responsibilities of the RN Critical Care Educator
- Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization.
- Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs).
- Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree.
Minimum Experience Requirements
- At least 4 years of recent Critical Care Experience - Neuro/Cardiac/Trauma preferred!
