A community-focused critical access hospital in Northern Wyoming is seeking a Cardiopulmonary Supervisor to lead and support a broad cardiopulmonary services department serving both inpatient and outpatient populations. This is a direct-hire leadership opportunity for an experienced Respiratory Therapist looking to step into a highly visible role with operational oversight, clinical involvement, and the ability to influence department growth and quality initiatives.
This role oversees Respiratory Therapy, Cardiac Rehab, Sleep Lab, EKG, Holter monitoring, stress testing, and pulmonary function testing services. The department works closely with nursing, providers, and hospital leadership in a collaborative rural healthcare environment where leaders remain clinically connected and directly involved in patient care operations.
Job Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily operations for Respiratory Therapy, Cardiac Rehab, Sleep Lab, EKG, stress testing, pulmonary function testing, and Holter monitoring services
· Serve as a clinical resource for respiratory staff, nursing teams, and providers
· Participate in hands-on respiratory care, ventilation management, ABG collection/analysis, and related cardiopulmonary procedures as needed
· Lead department staffing efforts including interviewing, onboarding, scheduling, coaching, evaluations, and performance management
· Develop and maintain department policies, procedures, competency programs, and quality standards
· Monitor departmental budget, purchasing, supply utilization, and equipment/service contracts
· Ensure equipment maintenance, safety standards, and regulatory compliance are maintained across all service lines
Minimum Qualifications:
· Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
· Current Wyoming Respiratory Therapy license required
· NBRC credential required (RRT preferred; CRT accepted)
· BLS and ACLS required within 6 months of hire
· PALS strongly preferred
· Minimum 4 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
· At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience within cardiopulmonary services
· Strong background in ventilator management, pulmonary diagnostics, cardiopulmonary equipment, and respiratory procedures
· Experience with regulatory standards including ACHC, CMS, and state licensure requirements
· Comfortable working collaboratively in a smaller hospital environment with broad departmental oversight
· Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and staff development skills
