A community-focused healthcare organization in Central Pennsylvania, near Harrisburg, is seeking a full-time Dentist to join its dental team. This is a strong opportunity for a mission-driven Dentist who wants to provide meaningful care in a community health setting. The role focuses on delivering primary dental care to patients who may otherwise have limited access to services, including patients of all ages and diverse backgrounds.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Provide dental care to patients of all ages in accordance with Pennsylvania standards of practice.
  • Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic dental services to established patients.
  • Provide emergency dental services to non-regular clinic patients within the scope of practice.
  • Develop treatment plans and educate patients throughout all phases of care.
  • Work collaboratively with dental staff, medical providers, and community healthcare partners.
  • Consult with appropriate providers and recommend outside referrals when needed.
  • Identify special patient needs and work with staff to help address barriers to care.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in quality, safety, risk management, and operational initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and support to clinical and support staff to help improve patient experience and outcomes.

Schedule

  • Full-time position.
  • Monday-Friday.
  • 5 days per week / 40 hours.
  • Open to considering 4 days per week / 32 hours.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Dentistry.
  • Current Pennsylvania Dental License.
  • Valid DEA Controlled Substance Registration.
  • Active BLS certification, or ability to obtain within required timeframe.
  • Successful completion of credentialing and privileging process upon hire.
  • Ability to provide care to patients of all ages.
  • Strong communication, organization, and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based care environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • More than 6 months of chairside experience preferred.
  • Two or more years of Dentist experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with low-income, multi-ethnic, or underserved populations preferred.
  • Bilingual language skills preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program preferred.
