Our client located in northern Iowa is seeking a full-time, permanent General Surgery NP or PA to join their established team of physicians and APPs. This opportunity consists of a mix of inpatient and outpatient surgery responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a certified physician assistant or nurse practitioner with first assist experience. New graduates are welcome to apply if rotations were completed in first assist!
Responsibilities of the General Surgery NP/PA
- Inpatient / Outpatient surgical responsibilities
- Call is 5-8 days per month (Call pay $150 per night)
- First assisting in General Surgery Cases
- Participates in daily patient rounds, writes progress notes, assists in surgery, writes prescriptions and prepares discharge summaries.
Minimum Requirements of the General Surgery NP/PA:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved PA program or Licensed Nurse Practitioner
- First Assist Experience
