Responsibilities of the Nurse Director-Emergency Services

Responsible for the overall management and successful operation of the Emergency Department.

The Nursing Director coordinates and evaluates the quality of nursing/patient care, financial stability and service productivity.

This motivated leader will evaluate workflow and daily operations within the department, while creating a culture that ensures high quality patient care.

The Nursing Director promotes harmonious and effective teamwork between physicians and nursing personnel and facilitates quality improvement processes within the Emergency Department.
Minimum Requirements of the Emergency Room Director
- BSN
- TNCC
- 5+ years of clinical nursing experience in the Emergency Room and 3+ years of Management experience
- Knowledge of Shared Governance
