Our client, near the Columbia River in Washington State, is seeking a full-time permanent Orthopedic Surgeon. Permanent 32 hours/week. Does not include nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities. MD or DO with completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery residency program. Board certified or board eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform surgical procedures for the treatment of bone, joint, and musculoskeletal injuries and disorders, including but not limited to fracture repair, joint replacement, arthroscopy, and soft tissue repair.
- Conduct pre-operative evaluations and post-operative follow-up for all orthopedic surgical patients.
- Manage a broad range of acute and chronic orthopedic conditions in the clinic setting, providing comprehensive assessments, imaging interpretation, injections, splinting, casting, and referrals as appropriate.
- This position does not include nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities.
- Collaborate with primary care, emergency medicine, and rehabilitation teams to develop coordinated, patient-centered treatment plans.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in the electronic health record system.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, procedures, rehabilitation, and self-care strategies to support recovery and long-term health.
- Provide guidance and supervision to advanced practice providers, medical students, medical assistants, and other learners when applicable.
Requirements of the Orthopedic Surgeon Provider:
- MD or DO
- Completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery residency program.
- Board certified or board eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Experience in a rural or critical access hospital environment is strongly preferred
