Occupational Therapist / Critical Access Hospital & Rural Health
A leading rural healthcare organization in Eastern Oregon is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join its rehabilitation team in a direct-hire, permanent placement opportunity. Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients across inpatient, outpatient, transitional care, and home health settings
- Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on physician referrals and patient goals
- Perform ongoing reassessments and modify treatment approaches as needed
- Document evaluations, daily treatments, progress notes, and discharge planning accurately and timely
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation professionals, and caregivers to support continuity of care
- Provide patient and family education focused on safety, functional independence, and adaptive techniques
- Support a broad patient population with varying diagnoses and rehabilitation needs
- Help maintain a patient-centered rehabilitation environment focused on empathy, dignity, and quality care
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Oregon
- Previous experience in acute care, outpatient rehab, home health, or transitional care preferred
- Comfortable working across multiple care settings depending on patient census
- Strong clinical documentation and care planning skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely within a small interdisciplinary team
- Effective communication skills with patients, families, providers, and support staff
- Compassionate and adaptable approach suited for a rural healthcare environment
