Urgent Care Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
A community-focused healthcare organization in Northern Arizona is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its outpatient urgent care team. This is a permanent opportunity with a four-day workweek, no nights, and no weekends. Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Provide 100% outpatient care in an urgent care and community health setting.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries.
- Perform physical exams, patient assessments, and clinical observations.
- Obtain and document patient histories, symptoms, and treatment plans.
- Order, administer, and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing.
- Manage patient care plans and contribute to existing treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and coordinate follow-up care as clinically appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with medical providers, nursing, and support staff.
- Provide patient education focused on prevention, wellness, and care plan adherence.
- Support a culturally responsive care environment for a diverse patient population.
Schedule
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Four 10-hour shifts per week.
- Day schedule.
- No nights.
- No weekends.
- Outpatient only.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certified Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Active Arizona license or eligibility to obtain.
- MSN required for Nurse Practitioner candidates.
- DEA eligible.
- Board certification required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
- Ability to work collegially with providers, clinical staff, and support teams.
- Strong patient communication, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of FNP or PA experience preferred.
- Prior urgent care, family practice, rural health, or community health experience preferred.
- Experience working with underserved or diverse patient populations preferred.
