Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist (MLT/MT)

 

Our client in Rural, Central Oregon is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist (MLT/MT) to join their laboratory family at this Critical Access facility. Candidates should have or be eligible for national certification through the ASCP or AMT as an MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician) or MT (Medical Technologist). Night Shift 6PM - 6AM 3 nights a week alternate weekend. 3 Nights one week the next week is 4 nights. 

 

Responsibilities of the Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist (MLT/MT)  

  • Abide by laboratory protocol and procedures.
  • Must be comfortable with the workload that comes with larger facilities
  • Provides information for patient diagnosis and treatment by performing laboratory tests in all general lab areas.
  • Able to use various types of machinery, lab equipment, and complex computer programs to perform the test.

 

Requirements of the MLT/MT 

  • Trained in an accredited MLT or MT program
  • Must have (or be eligible for) the ASCP or AMT certification
  • Comfortable working in all areas of the lab including Phlebotomy.
  • Must have at least 1 year of Lab experience
