Small acute care Hospital in Southern Arizona is seeking a permanent Onsite RN Emergency Room Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in nursing, at least 2 years of experience in nursing management, and excellent clinical skills. The position reports to the CNO. The Emergency Department sees between 20,000 to 24,000 patients annually. The manager will be responsible for around 20 employees. Relocation allowance, sign-on bonus, and a wonderful benefits package are being offered.
Job Functions for the RN Manager ER:
- Provides for the delivery of safe, economical and efficient nursing care.
- Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team.
- Acts as liaison between patient, family and physician/medical provider.
- Sets specific standards and objectives for the Emergency Department and Outpatient treatment functions of the facility. Recruits, interviews and selects staff accordingly.
- Communicates changes in policy and procedure and other appropriate communication to staff and provides feedback from staff to the Nursing Administration.
- Ensures that care is delivered to each patient according to standard and is documented in the clinical record.
- Monitors patient revenues and expenses, operating expenses and capital expense items.
Quick Facts for the ER Nurse Manager:
