We’re hiring a Full-Time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)near Bakersfield, California (Central Valley region). Job Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient primary care services to clinic patients using established clinical protocols
  • Perform patient assessments, including histories, physical exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Initiate, adjust, and manage treatment plans with physician guidance and consultation as needed
  • Order and interpret labs and diagnostic studies; communicate results and follow-up plans
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with scope of practice and regulatory requirements
  • Provide preventive care, health screenings, and patient education to support wellness and chronic disease management
  • Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinic staff to coordinate care and support quality outcomes

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (Family Nurse Practitioner strongly preferred)
  • Current, unrestricted California RN and NP licensure (Board of Registered Nursing)
  • National NP certification through one of the following (as applicable):
  • American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
  • American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
  • Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)
  • National Certification Corporation (NCC)
  • American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN)
  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • AHA ACLS required if requesting privileges for an inpatient setting
  • Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and communication skills
  • Comfortable working within structured protocols while exercising independent clinical decision-making
  • Early-career candidates may be considered depending on training, clinical rotations, and overall fit
