Our client is seeking a permanent Psychiatric RN to work at a well-known Magnet Hospital in Vermont. Work a desirable night shift. Prior Psychiatric Intensive Care clinical nursing experience required.
Job Responsibilities of the Behavioral Health RN
- Gauging patients' psychiatric states.
- Collaborating on psychiatric intervention plans.
- Administering psychotropic and similar medications.
- Monitoring adherence to non-medicinal treatment regimens.
- Removing potentially harmful and triggering environmental features.
- Restraining, consoling, and sometimes medicating highly unsettled patients.
Requirements of the Psychiatric RN
- 1 year prior Psych experience required.
- BLS
- ACLS a big plus
- Proficiency in acute-care nursing, knowledge, and skills
