Responsibilities of the RN House Supervisor:
- Staff the oncoming shift and address changes in staffing needs as they occur, as well as census fluctuation.
- Will document on the House Supervisor report sheet every shift and justify staffing decisions to the department leader and CNO as requested.
- Represents administrative leadership and acts according to leadership standards, including but not limited to the safeguarding of confidential, privileged, or sensitive information.
- Assist with patient care in all areas, as required.
- Serve as an administrative resource person to staff.
- Communicate pertinent information to the oncoming house supervisor. Read and document in the Supervisor’s Communication Book to assure passage of accurate and current information to all supervisors. “The Book of Knowledge.”
Requirements for House Supervisor:
