Our client in Southern Oregon is seeking a permanent Certified Dietitian for their Diabetes Educator position to work for a thriving Healthcare System.   Looking for someone with 2+ years of experience in a certified program and Certified Diabetes Education certification.   Current Oregon Dietitian license and Diabetes Educator certification.

Job Responsibilities for the Diabetes Educator/RD:

 

  • Demonstrates and applies an in-depth knowledge of dietetics principles, practices, standards and scope in accordance with corporate and departmental policies and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics/Commission on Dietetic Registration.   
  • Is compliant with all aspects of American Diabetes Association Program Requirements for recognition.  
  • Provides full assessment, intervention and education for outpatient populations based on clinical standards; including but not limited to, patient interview, meal planning, medications, and insulin pumps & other devices.
  • Prepares and maintains written and electronic documentation as specified in Policy & Procedures.
  • Develops, implements and re-evaluates treatment plans in coordination with the healthcare team as indicated.
  • Demonstrates teamwork through flexibility in coverage and schedules.
  • Provides in-services within the organization as indicated and appropriate.  
  • Create and present community education as appropriate.

Requirements of the Certified Diabetes Educator:

  • 2+ years of experience in a certified program  
  • Certified Diabetes Education certification
  • Current Oregon Dietitian license  
  • Diabetes Educator certification.
