We’re seeking a Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) for Primary Care near Aberdeen, Washington. This is an outpatient role built for clinicians who enjoy relationship-based medicine, preventive care, and a collaborative team environment where you can practice with autonomy, strong support, and a patient-first mindset.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care across the lifespan in an ambulatory clinic setting
- Evaluate patients, develop care plans, set goals with patients, and monitor progress over time
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions using evidence-based practice
- Prescribe medications and educate patients on risks, benefits, and treatment options
- Promote disease prevention and health maintenance through screening and counseling
- Provide cross-coverage for other primary care and outpatient providers as needed (including schedule gaps, PTO, CME, illness, etc.)
- Manage in-basket and urgent message coverage for providers who are away
- Document thoroughly and on time in the electronic health record, including coding support and voice recognition tools as applicable
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary partners to coordinate patient care
- Participate in quality improvement efforts, patient safety initiatives, huddles, and team meetings
- Support patient and provider satisfaction by helping resolve concerns and improve the care experience
- Contribute to community outreach activities when requested and mutually agreed
Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
- ARNP: Master’s in Nursing or DNP, or
- PA: Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies (or doctoral equivalent)
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted Washington State ARNP and RN license or Washington State PA license
- DEA: Active Washington DEA registration
- Certifications: Current BLS (ACLS accepted if required/maintained)
- Experience: 2+ years preferred as an ARNP or PA in primary care or a similar outpatient setting (strong early-career candidates may be considered)
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and real-time problem-solving
- Clear, professional communication and a collaborative, patient-centered approach
- Comfortable with EHR documentation and clinical technology
