Medical Assistant – Day Shift | Southeast Ohio Region

Key Responsibilities
In this full-time position, you’ll work alongside physicians and clinical staff to support quality patient care. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting providers during patient exams and office procedures
- Performing vital signs, screenings, and preparing patients for treatment
- Administering oral and injectable (non-IV) medications and immunizations
- Conducting CLIA-waived tests, EKGs, respiratory testing, and phlebotomy
- Communicating with pharmacies, scheduling tests and surgeries
- Maintaining exam rooms, managing supplies, and processing specimens
- Serving as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Ensuring documentation is accurate and timely in patient records
- Adhering to infection control, safety protocols, and patient privacy practices
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (or eligible to obtain within 6 months of hire)
- Path to certification provided for full-time hires without clinical experience
- CPR certification (or must obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, clinical procedures, and pharmacology
- Familiarity with ICD/CPT coding and reimbursement practices
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to patient care
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in fast-paced clinical environments
