Medical Assistant – Day Shift | Southeast Ohio Region

Key Responsibilities

In this full-time position, you’ll work alongside physicians and clinical staff to support quality patient care. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting providers during patient exams and office procedures
  • Performing vital signs, screenings, and preparing patients for treatment
  • Administering oral and injectable (non-IV) medications and immunizations
  • Conducting CLIA-waived tests, EKGs, respiratory testing, and phlebotomy
  • Communicating with pharmacies, scheduling tests and surgeries
  • Maintaining exam rooms, managing supplies, and processing specimens
  • Serving as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Ensuring documentation is accurate and timely in patient records
  • Adhering to infection control, safety protocols, and patient privacy practices

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (or eligible to obtain within 6 months of hire)
  • Path to certification provided for full-time hires without clinical experience
  • CPR certification (or must obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, clinical procedures, and pharmacology
  • Familiarity with ICD/CPT coding and reimbursement practices
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to patient care
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in fast-paced clinical environments
