Our client in Nebraska is seeking a full-time permanent Nurse Director to oversee Surgical Services. Wonderful Dayshift position, M-F 5:30 am-2 pm. MSN is required or in progress with 2+ years of management-level experience, 5+ years of clinical experience in surgical services.
Responsibilities of the Surgical Services RN Director:
Responsible for the planning, directing, budgeting, coordinating, evaluating and enhancing the quality of daily operations of departments including Surgical Services: Preadmissions, Outpatient Surgery Department (Same Day Surgery, Endoscopy, Spine-Pain), Surgery, (OR, Central Sterile), Cardiac Cath Lab, PACU, and Surgery Center. Communicates & collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, outpatient/inpatient, along with other healthcare staff to provide quality care for patients.
Requirements of the Nurse Director:
- At least 5 years of nursing experience, with current leadership and management experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a first-line supervisor/manager coupled with 3 years clinical nursing experience required.
- MSN required, or in progress.
