Our client, located just outside of White Sands National Park in New Mexico is looking for an experienced RN Director to oversee the Med/Surg Department. The ideal candidate has their BSN with 3+ years of acute care clinical nursing experience and 2+ years of RN management level experience.

Responsibilities of the RN Director of Medical/Surgical:

- Effectively organizes self and others to get the work done – self directed
- Is timely in reporting to Chief Nursing Officer
- Demonstrates problem solving skills to include investigation, identification of causes and development of corrective action, and submit reports
- Promotes a satisfied work environment through establishing a climate for growth and challenge, mentoring assistant and other staff
- Directs, delegates and oversees work efforts as appropriate to insure the best possible delivery of service and high customer satisfaction
- Regularly rounds on staff and patients to foster staff/management relationships and to evaluate customer satisfaction
- Maintains records up to date, i.e.; evaluations, etc.
- Demonstrates communication skills necessary to interact with persons of varying age and/or cultures.
- Supports the Mission and Philosophy of the hospital and the Department. Demonstrates an understanding and application of these policies.
Requirements of the RN Director:
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing or Better
- 3+ years of acute care clinical experience
- 2+ years of RN Management level experience
