Our client located in the state of Vermont is looking for a permanent Behavioral Health Specialist/Social Worker to join their Pediatric Team. Master's in psychology or Social Work is required. Licensed as a mental health provider/LICSW or ability to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities of the Pediatric Social Work/Behavioral Specialist
- The Behavioral Health Specialist provides screening, assessment, and short-term counseling for mental health and substance abuse issues in a primary care setting.
- Ideal candidate will understand the concept of integrating behavioral health in primary care.
- Looking for someone who will have the ability to make prompt clinical assessment of behavior and mental conditions using assessment tools and provide appropriate interventions and short-term solution-based therapy.
- The Behavioral Health Specialist will refer to community therapists as needed.
Minimum Requirements of the Social Worker/Behavioral Specialist
- Master's in psychology or Social Work is required.
- Licensed as a mental health provider-LICSW or ability to obtain licensure.
- Pediatric experience is a plus
