Previous experience managing large, complex projects, experience with lean methodology and Lean certification is preferred. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt within 2 years of hire date.

Job Responsibilities for the Lean Performance Improvement Director:
- Develops specific programs and services using Lean Six Sigma methodologies that can be offered to the hospital's departments, leaders, and staff intended to improve efficiencies, control/ decrease costs, and improve the quality of care.
- Provides consulting and training on Lean Six Sigma that is relevant to healthcare and that will add value to process improvement efforts and initiatives.
- Coordinates and participates in projects, serving as a role model for organizational change.
- Demonstrates effective facilitation and presentation skills that will enhance Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
- Provides individual mentoring and support to Lean Six Sigma practitioners as needed.
- Facilitates performance improvement projects utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies; coaches and mentors others to lead performance improvement projects utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Monitors, evaluates, and trends clinical and non-clinical performance data; uses this information to assist in identifying priorities for improvement.
- Works collaboratively with leaders and other staff to develop and maintain performance improvement processes.
- Actively participates in performance improvement-related committees.
- Leads improvement projects related to process and continuous improvement in the areas of quality, operations, productivity, and cost using Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
