Our client in Southern Oregon is seeking a permanent Onsite Performance Excellence Director in the acute care Hospital Setting. Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred. Previous experience managing large, complex projects, experience with lean methodology and Lean certification is preferred. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt within 2 years of hire date.

Job Responsibilities for the Lean Performance Improvement Director:

 

  • Develops specific programs and services using Lean Six Sigma methodologies that can be offered to the hospital's departments, leaders, and staff intended to improve efficiencies, control/ decrease costs, and improve the quality of care.
  • Provides consulting and training on Lean Six Sigma that is relevant to healthcare and that will add value to process improvement efforts and initiatives.
  • Coordinates and participates in projects, serving as a role model for organizational change.
  • Demonstrates effective facilitation and presentation skills that will enhance Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Provides individual mentoring and support to Lean Six Sigma practitioners as needed.
  • Facilitates performance improvement projects utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies; coaches and mentors others to lead performance improvement projects utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Monitors, evaluates, and trends clinical and non-clinical performance data; uses this information to assist in identifying priorities for improvement.
  • Works collaboratively with leaders and other staff to develop and maintain performance improvement processes.
  • Actively participates in performance improvement-related committees.
  • Leads improvement projects related to process and continuous improvement in the areas of quality, operations, productivity, and cost using Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.

Requirements of the Director of Performance Excellence:

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
