Currently looking for an Occupational Therapist to fill an opening with a Hospital facility located around the College Station, Texas area. Interested candidates should have at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, with a passion to work with both adult and pediatric patients. Interested candidate should have previous acute care OT experience OR outpatient experience and open to float, with a valid Texas OT license, or already have started the process of obtaining it. Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist

  • Primary role will be evaluating and treating adults with orthopedic and neurological deficits.
  • Secondary role will be evaluating and treating pediatric patients and understanding of authorization process for variety of insurances.
  • The Occupational Therapist facilitates development and rehabilitation of patients with mental, emotional, and physical disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed occupational therapy.
  • Evaluates results of occupational therapy by observing, noting, and evaluating patient's progress; recommending and implementing adjustments and modifications.
  • Mobility to work in a typical clinical environment, stamina to remain standing or sitting for extended periods of time.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist

  • The Hospital facility is seeking at least one year of professional OT experience and a graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Active, or pending, Texas Occupational license
  • Full-time, Direct-hire Opportunity
  • Acute Care experience is a must  
  • Focused and passionate about both pediatric and adult patients
  • Day shifts; Monday – Friday schedule
