Our client in the Charlotte area is seeking a Night Shift Histology Supervisor to join their Laboratory Team. Qualified Candidates must be HT or HTL (ASCP) certified, and have 3+ years of histology laboratory experience. Supervisory experience is preferred. Responsibilities of the Histology Supervisor (HT/HTL)
- Organize and staff the work activities of the laboratory during each shift
- Performing special histopathology procedures (immunoperoxidase, immunofluorescence, muscle histochemistry).
- Utilizes appropriate equipment with precision for all histological protocols.
- Performs computer data entry, recall, and labeling on complex pathology network (LIS).
- Performs routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and minor adjustments on all lab equipment.
Requirements of the Histotechnician (HT/HTL)
- HT (ASCP) HLT (ASCP) certification.
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in a biological or related science
- 3+ years of histology experience
- Leadership experience preferred
