Histology/Pathology Supervisor
Our Southeastern New Mexico client has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and dedicated Histotechnologist or Histotechnician with leadership experience to serve as the Supervisor of their Histology/Pathology Department. This working supervisor position is a full-time, permanent placement opening that is open to candidates with at least 5 years of experience, including IHC, and cutting tissue.

Responsibilities of the Histology/Pathology Supervisor
- Oversight of resident Histotechnologist / Histotechnician and support staff
- Creates quality assurance indicators to improve laboratory performance by monitoring measurements, outcomes, and turnaround time
- Monitors laboratory procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting and implements methods to ensure regulatory compliance
- Ensures assigned laboratories comply with regulatory and licensing agencies by working with hospital management to keep licensures valid
- Plans, supervises, and assigns work to staff, evaluates performance, manages competencies, conducts training and staff development activities, handles disciplinary issues
Requirements of the Histology/Pathology Supervisor
- HTL/HT (ASCP) certification required
- High School diploma and completion of an accredited Histotechnology program, associates, or bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 5 years experience
