Currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Technician with at least one year of hospital experience to fill an opening with a Hospital facility located outside of Seneca, Oregon. Interested candidates should be able to perform a variety of laboratory procedures to examine and analyze body fluids, tissues, and cells.
Responsibilities of the Medical Laboratory Technician
- Collect specimens and distribute to the proper unit in lab or hospital, or reference lab
- Perform lab tests, distribute results, and maintain documentation of tests
- Maintain adequate documentation of control procedures to ensure accuracy of reports
Requirements of the Medical Laboratory Technician
- Broad knowledge of standard chemical, microscopic bacteriological, and serological procedures, modern laboratory principles and techniques and their application in clinical analysis, and appropriate equipment procedures and maintenance
- Completion of an Associates degree in medical laboratory
- One (1) year experience, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above duties
