Job Description:

Hospital in scenic Colorado is seeking a permanent Cath Lab RN.   Brand New Cath Lab just opened!   2+ years of cardiac catheterization experience is required.   Bachelor's Degree in nursing (or its equivalent).   RCIS preferred, or obtained within 1 year.

Responsibilities of the RN-Cath Lab

• Administer intravenous and oral medications to patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge in the following: angioplasty, coronary stents, Swan Ganz/right heart cath, pericardiocentesis, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and recognition of cardiac rhythms.
• Assess the patient upon admission to the department
• Provide pre/intra/post procedure nursing care

Requirements of the Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse  

• BSN or equivalent  
• 3+ years of cardiac cath lab RN experience is required  
• RCIS preferred, or obtained within 1 year of employment
