Job Description:

A Hospital District nestled in beautiful Eastern Oregon is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer to lead the Nursing Unit of a Critical Access Hospital while reporting directly to the CEO.   This person will be responsible for creating a patient-centered environment while overseeing nursing in units such as Med-Surg, L&D, ER, Trauma, Pharmacy, OR, etc. A BSN is required! Responsibilities of the CNO:

  • Reports to the CEO.
  • Responsible for oversight of the quality of patient care and the continued education and compliance of the Nursing team.
  • Assists in formulating the budget and maintains efficient and effective operations.
  • Completed annual performance evaluations.
  • Participates in performance improvement and quality improvement activities.
  • Credentialing of all Clinic Providers and Staff.
  • Working knowledge of CMS regulations and prepares for regulatory surveys for both acute care and swing bed programs.

 

Requirements of the CNO:

  • Must have 3-5 years’ experience in leadership.
  • Critical Access Hospital experience is a plus!
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, however an MSN is preferred!
