Job Responsibilities for the General Dentist:

  • Conduct thorough dental examinations, diagnose oral health conditions, and perform a wide range of treatments, including cleanings, fillings, extractions, and restorative procedures.
  • Develop and present personalized treatment plans that cater to each patient’s specific needs. Ensure patients are fully informed and comfortable with their treatment options.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with patients by providing compassionate, patient-focused care. Create a welcoming and comfortable environment that puts patients at ease.
  • Work closely with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure smooth and efficient practice operations. Provide leadership and guidance to maintain the highest standards of clinical care.
  • Follow established clinical protocols, including infection control, patient safety, and specialty referral guidelines, to ensure the best outcomes for patients.

Must-Haves for the General Dentist Role:

  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited dental school.
  • A current, unrestricted dental license to practice in Michigan.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in performing routine dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, and restorative treatments.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain treatment plans and educate patients.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining professional excellence.

Key Details About the Role:

Schedule: Full-Time

  • Monday: 7 AM-4 PM
  • Tuesday: 8 AM-5 PM
  • Wednesday: 9 AM-6 PM
  • Thursday: 9 AM-5 PM
  • Friday: 8 AM-2 PM
  • Practice Setting: Single Provider Practice with 2 Registered Dental Hygienists (RDH) and 1 Dental Assistant (DA).
  • Payer Data: Heavy PPO/No Medicaid.
  • Patient Base: Strong patient base in a high foot traffic area.
