Job Description:

Coastal community in Alaska is looking for a Director of Nursing for the Inpatient and Outpatient RN departments.   This person would work directly with the CNO on continuous program development, improvement, evaluation, and review. Prior work with tribal communities or the under-served populations is valuable. Outstanding benefits and relocation assistance is provided!


Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing


1.Coordinates nursing care while providing on-going leadership.

2.Provides clinical direction, management and support to In-Patient, Obstetric, Emergency Room, and Outpatient Departments.

3.Provides direct clinical supervision to staff and other assigned program coordinators.

4.Works with Chief Nursing Officer to evaluate and manage quality assurance in compliance with regulatory requirements.


Minimum Requirements for the Director of Nursing Position


1. Must be an RN.

2. Bachelor’s Degree required.

3. Minimum of 4 years of on-going supervisory experience.

4. Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred

5. Must be enrolled in an accredited MSN program within 12 months of hire.



All positions in the Inpatient (including OB), Outpatient, Emergency Departments, Medevac Coordinator, and SANE/SART team members.
