Job Responsibilities for the ER RN, you will:
- Provide compassionate and efficient care to patients in a fast-paced emergency room environment.
- Assess, monitor, and manage patient conditions to ensure appropriate interventions and outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations and perform life-saving interventions when necessary.
- Document patient care and treatment accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
- Participate in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for both patients and staff.
Minimum Job Requirements for the Emergency Room RN
Education and Certification:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- NYS licensure with current registration or permit required.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
Experience:
- A minimum of one year of experience in emergency or critical care nursing is required for external candidates.
