Job Description:
Our client in the Fresno area of California is seeking a full-time Pediatric Surgery NP/PA to join their team. This opportunity is hospital-employed, Monday-Friday. Primary responsibilities include covering the inpatient service including floor consults, minor procedures, etc. as well as outpatient clinic duties. The ideal candidate is a PA (NCCPA required) or a PNP/FNP with experience in pediatrics and at least one year of surgery experience. On your time off enjoy three local national parks and beautiful beaches, within driving distance to San Francisco, LA and Sacramento.
Responsibilities of the Peds Surgery NP/PA:
- Provide critical support to surgeons, including floor consults taking patient history, helping to diagnose conditions, and discussing treatment options with patients.
- Perform physical exams and CT scans using equipment such as an MRI machine, as well as doing blood work and other laboratory diagnostics under the supervision of a physician.
- Perform a variety of follow-up responsibilities in an outpatient setting - post op follow-ups and same day urgent appointments
Minimum Requirements of the Peds Surgery NP/PA:
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (PNP/FNP) or Physician Assistant
- Active California license or eligible to obtain
