Job Responsibilities of the Oncology PA:
- Perform physical and psycho-social assessments under general supervision and with medical consultation.
- Establish medical diagnoses and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Order and evaluate diagnostic tests and manage follow-up care.
- Conduct physical examinations and interpret lab test results.
- Provide preventative healthcare and counseling to patients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
- Participate in on-call rounding every 3-4 weeks, typically on a Saturday or Sunday.
Minimum Requirements:
- A college degree as a Physician’s Assistant from a recognized university affiliated with a medical school.
- Preferred: Two to five years of experience in a medical practice setting, with a focus on diagnosis, treatment, and patient education.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
